VBoxLaunch: pin your Virtualbox virtual machines to the Windows 7 start menu

This is a free program that will appeal to those who frequently use Virtualbox to run and manage multiple virtual machines. Simply, VBoxLaunch will let you pin your individual virtual machines to the Windows 7 start menu.

See the attached screenshot to see what I mean.

Ok, I know it’s geeky to the max, but that’s what we’re all about at Freewaregenius (admit it, it’s pretty cool!).

How to use: download and unzip; move VBoxLaunch.exe to the VirtualBox install folder, then pin it to the start menu. Run once and it should populate your virtual machines into the start menu.

[Thanks go to reader Panzer for letting us know about this program].

Compatibility: Windows 7. Developed on 64bit but, as the author states “ there is no reason why it shouldn’t work on 32bit Windows 7 too”. Requires Microsoft .net Framework 3.5 which comes preinstalled with Windows 7.

Go to the program home page to download the latest version (approx 340K).
