Software giveaways for the holidays: AnyTrans and Duke Nukem 3D

It’s the holiday season again, and time for free software giveaways for us 47% (joke). This time around in what might be the most random post we’ve put together on this site, we bring you two items: (1) AnyTrans: a handy utility for iOS devices that lets you transfer apps and media from one device to another without iTunes, and (2) Duke Nukem 3D atomic edition, the full first person shooter for PC and Mac that will provide hours of delirious gameplay for everyone.

We have AnyTrans 20 licenses to give away. The Duke Nukem giveaway runs until December 14th.

1. AnyTrans: transfers of your music, movies, and apps from one iOS device to another in a wizard style interface

See instructions below on getting your free serial!

This is a handy toolbox for iOS users that not only transfers your stuff (including your apps) across devices without involving iTunes, but will allow you to transfer stuff onto your iOS device from multiple computers and iTunes libraries. It can also convert videos so that they play on iOS devices.

We have 20 copies to give away. All you need to do is send us an email using this form and claim your license. We will use your email address to send you your registration key only.

2. Duke Nukem 3D – atomic edition: an FPS with “violence, humor, originality”– apparently ;)

For fans of Duke – you have until Dec 14th to grab the complete game for free. Link here.

A 3D FPS that will prove that you don’t need modern, sophisticated graphics to have a great first person shooter experience. No this is not my original thought; it was a comment under the YouTube video which is embedded above.

[Thanks to reader Panzer for the tip about this one].

Just an FYI, there’s 10 other games available for free on GOG: Beneath A Steel Sky, Lure of the Temptress, Teen Agent, Treasure Adventure Game, Tyrian 2000, Ultima 4, Ultima the Savage Empire, Warsow, Worlds of Ultima

Oh this GOG site is full of fantastic, classic games! Lots of titles there which earned their place in the Hall Of Fame of gamehistory. The games that are not free cost almost nothing, starting at $2.99. WOOHOO!
