Dig N Rig is a great free game for Windows created by students at the DigiPen Institute of Technology. It’s all about mining, building, solving puzzles of logic and trying to get to the Earth’s core. Featuring retro 8-bit style graphics and music, it is addictive and quite entertaining from beginning to end.
At first glance, the game is very reminiscent of the old Atari arcade hit Dig Dug, and some of the characters (particularly the player’s) are vaguely similar; but while the cosmetic similarities are stront, Dig N Rig is far more in depth and complex. It successfully contains and mixes elements from such varied games as Lemmings, King Arthur’s Gold, Dig Dug, and other great and famous ones. Continue reading ..

Despite the proliferation of bowsers, social bookmarking sites, and Instapaper-type services, or perhaps because of it, bookmarking websites is sometimes a rather complex, fragmented process. I frequently get emails from people wanting a good ‘bookmarks manager’, and if that describes you and you are looking for such a program then check out Fav-Links, a free, visual bookmark manager.
Fav-Links comes in two guises; a free application that can be installed locally on a PC, as well as a web application. This post will focus on the former, as the latter was not available at the time of this writing. Continue reading ..

JustSubsPlayer is a free program that lets you play subtitles independently of any video, and that can be placed over any part of the screen. This means that JustSubsPlayer can overlay subtitles on top of .FLV videos or any other video format or player that might not support subtitles, including browser-based videos in video sharing sites. All you need to do is find the appropriate subtitle files in .SRT format on the internet, run them in JustSubsPlayer and then drag it to the appropriate place on your screen.
Think of JustSubsPlayer as an independent subtitles player that plays a subtitle file as a movie made of nothing but text, which is exactly what it is. It is simple software that is both powerful and free. Continue reading ..

So, wouldn’t it nice to be able to utilize the power of technology to help improve your relationship rather than the opposite?
This is what this post is about. It will describe three *hypothetical* app ideas for your device that could enhance or save your relationship. Note: this is a JOKE post; I apologize in advance to those who might take offense to what I am about to say, as well as those who might want these apps desperately, as they don’t exist
