Introducing my new blog: MoneyConfidence.com

My friend Imad and I recently created “MoneyConfidence”, a site whose mission is to provide smart and thoughtful advice about managing money.

It is still in it’s infancy but already contains a not-insignificant amount of content. We hope it will grow much larger and that we can provide a brand of thoughtful/useful content that will be useful (and entertaining) to many people out there.

I am really excited about the name: a dictionary URL that is precisely the sort of thing we wanted, and that, to our surprise, was not taken when we registered it (took us about 2 hours of experimenting with various names and ideas though, before we found it).

You might have your friend edit your comments, starting with “Imad and me recently……”

@ Stuart, Jasray: you guys think that “My friend and I” vs. “My friend and me” is so very obvious? It is not; see here for a debate of this subject (although admittedly, “my friend and I” won out, and I went ahead and changed it).

I will say that after almost 1000 posts on this blog the quality of my writing and the content provided speaks for itself. You guys would not be here reading this if it were otherwise.

Anyway, with all the free content that is on offer I am constantly bewildered when I see readers such as Jarsay pretending to be nitpicky about where they will get their content. Here’s my advice: vote with your mouse; if you don’t like the content provided here (or on MoneyConfidence) then by all means go somewhere else.

I expected a technology site, but great work all the same!

Yes, I was going to say if you are as good with money as you are with grammar and punctuation, I’ll definitely go elsewhere. My gosh!

Hey Samer, I would like to know if you designed the site yourself? The FWGenius site looks pretty professional even though it is powered by wordpress..

Can you provide me with some insight?
    Thanks
