I have a friend in Holland who likes to watch the BBCs iPlayer but it’s restricted to UK IP addresses. At present he is testing ExPat Shield but may suggest this to him.

You can always use Tor Browser. As far as I remember you can chose country of the proxy connection, correct me if I’m wrong.

  • DanD

@Tomas M. I don’t know if you can choose a country in TorBrowser but I’m pretty sure it doesn’t allow Flash, Java or other plugins because they will bypass Tor and reveal your true IP. So Flash video or games are not possible with TorBrowser.

It is not clear if they record your connection logs or not.

just a thank you comment for this little wonder of magic .
I’ve tried it at workplace – and Shazam ! just as you promised.

(A prior trick of mine was to use a Netstick , disable local network connection and
surf cellularly – also does wonders to restrictions of the “Big brother” )

    Thanks Samer .

@ Elioz: you’re welcome. Nice to hear from you again!

I need your advice please. During set-up, Tunnelbear requests that it “requires a network connection to be installed on your computer” which I find a little unnerving. Will this interfere with my present Wi Fi connections or are there any other disadvantages?

Thank you for your time. Brilliant website by the way!

    • Samer

@ Jerry: you should be ok; I let it install and it did not interfere with my Wifi.

  • Jerry Chance

    Many thanks Samer.

If it goes pear-shaped, I know where to send the bill!! ~(:-))>
