    A lot of Mark Rothko’s (1903-1970) work saw similar high prices and kind of on a similar theme. These many years later and his whole “color theory” pictures still have a mixed reaction among artsy types as well as the general public.

    Some of the links in the referenced wallpaper article don’t work now. The thread which had a zip for the DesktopTopia file is gone, for example. Why anyone would pay this much money for such a photo is beyond me. I guess some people are trying to buy access to…something…
