Tree or tree? Fix that small “bug” ;)

Btw, I would prefer something like that (I have no idea what program is this!): http://i54.tinypic.com/sv2s1d.jpg

Easy to read all important info… Anyone knows what is this? :-)

Sounds good but requires too many clicks (right click > properties > media tab > analyze). I prefer just right clicking a file and click onto something which will show the media info right away. This exact feature comes along as a tool named “Mediainfo” with K-Lite Codec Pack. Can be used individually too [http://goo.gl/QX9or].

@ Mushaf: I also use MediaInfo Lite :-)

I unexpectedly likes this little tool. Thanks.

Looks nifty, but I agree with Mushaf. Why go through that many clicks when you can just use MediaInfo or MediaInfo Lite. As noted in Samer’s review of MediaInfo, you can enable the Explorer extension and just right click any media file and choose “Media Info” for a pop up window with all the media file’s info.

I’ve read a few complaints that MediaInfo Lite isn’t always updated as quickly as the original MediaInfo, and that there are less viewing options (tree, basic, text, etc). The upside is that it does not use Open Candy, if you consider that spyware.

If you have an aversion to Open Candy (bundled with the original MediaInfo’s installer), you can download the standard version without an installer and no Open Candy.

To get the version without the installer (for Windows) go to Media Info’s homepage, click the “We use OpenCandy” link.
On the next page, click the “package without installer” link near the bottom of the page.
On the final page click “(without installer)” next to the version number, currently “v0.7.47″.
