I would like to suggest a bookmarklet you hadn’t included:3.ly. It’s a URL shortening service that,as it’s name suggests, shortens urls to only a little more than three words. The bookmarklet is available at it’s homepage.

I use this one for generating QR codes. Very handy when I need to open something on my phone.

How about LongURL Please? It transforms shortened URLs into their original urls within a web page so you can see the link for sure…

Design will be very useful for a couple things I’m working on and as a tool I can recommend to others for this little project of mine (but how do you “escape” Crosshair? it wasn’t immediately apparent ). (Also wondering what image preview tool you use for the site–very interesting.) Thanks.

Thanks guys for some good suggestions.
@SF: the translate page bookmarklet is indeed crucial to have, except that for Chrome it is not needed as Chrome supports translation automatically.
@ Quarck: thanks for an interesting page.
@ Daniel: site search is indeed a good one. It didn’t occur to me.
@ Toni: glad to hear you liked Clipnabber.
@ Anthony: the Shareholic extension was indeed one of my “must have” Chrome plugins. Nice blog btw.

The issue here is having a ton of bookmarklets taking up your space on your browser. A good way to reduce a number of these is the Shareaholic extension for Firefox/Chrome.

It doesn’t include all of these, but is a good source to condense a lot of bookmarklets.

I’m surprised you haven’t listed Site Search or Domain Search.
Most handy for any browser.
Useful even for sites with search feature.

I think bookmarklets are most useful for Opera, because it have no plugins and bookmarklets can be a substitute. For content sharing I use shareaholic bookmarklet and Friendfeed sharing bookmarklet. Also I recommend look in this page with bookmarklets http://ruzanow.ru/opera/buttons.html (In Russian).
