COMBO (2 times loop): a unique collaborative animation

Combo Screenshot1Combo Screenshot2COMBO (2 times loop) is a collaborative animation made by animation artists "Blu" and David Ellis. What is unique about this animation is that where animation usually takes places on paper or inside a computer screen, this animation is physically created and/or hand-drawn inside an actual physical environment, on the walls and in the spaces of an actual building (click-into this posting to watch the video).

Someone at work sent me this and I liked it so much I wanted to post it here. The animation is looped twice back-to-back; I’m not quite sure why this is the case, but my guess is that they did it this way to show how seamlessly the beginning and ending of this can mesh together (so much so that I know it would have taken me a while to figure out that the animation had re-started had I not been forewarned).

Anyway if you have other animations you like please let me know as I would love to see (and potentially post) them.

[Thanks to Simon S. and Matt A. for the tip]
