Agreed, its a sweet game. More like Axis and Allies and Diplomacy then RISK, though. I am on the leaderboard, fear me! :-)

Not sure if its clear, but the premium memberships are actually free, just need to see the note at the bottom of the membership page. Can’t beat that price.

You star SPHINX! I didn’t know about the free membership upgrade.

My rough summary is that it’s Axis & Allies but with wego (simultaneous) movement. Units cost relatively more to build, so there’s more incentive to withdraw, regroup and counter.

Whilst, technically, MP games could go on for months, I’ve only been playing MP for a week and I’ve completed two and got one that’ll finish today.

There are automatic ways that inactives are dealt with, so they aren’t a problem for more than 2 days.

All in all, a good game.

If you want a Desktop version of Axis & Allies take a look at TripleA, there are varients on the classic version as well as a map that looks darn close to the one on the screenshot:

The game is buggy, I couldn’t finish my 1st game because I had no troops and no one would attack my undefended capital.
Because of that, I can’t enter any other game.
    Sucks….

Mihai, do the free upgrade to premium and you can have something like 10 games at once instead of the 3. Problem solved. See my first post for details. If its a solo game, can’t you just cancel it on the details page?

There’s a brand new free online game similar to Risk called Victors United (http://www.victorsunited.com/). You have the ability to play single and multiplayer games, change all the game options, and the ruleset offers some interesting variations on the classic rules. It’s a fun game.

There’s a new free onilne game called Art of War. If you like Risk, or Axis and Allies, you’ll like this. Great looking maps and icons, offers different styles of play, different unit types, and has a good community.
