without vocal track capability the program is crippled crap. how hard could this possibly be?

LMMS is a great program. I am a noob at this, played with FL a little at some point. LMMS is a great way to sort of break in to this hobby. Tons of value with this software.

…be nice if it actually worked; but, alas, like everything else available from Sourceforge (with a few exceptions of course), this program is crapware and should be labeled as such. Other than that, I have no opinion.

For free it’s nice I guess, but it doesn’t come close to something like FL Studio.

I use FL Studio and Ableton Live and although those program do cost quite a bit, a little money gets you a lot more IMHO. Especially in the case of FL Studio, where you get lifetime free updates on the download version. Keeps getting better with every release.
I bought it when it was v6, and I’ll be getting a free copy of v9 soon, great value for money.

Interesting software. I guess it has potential, I think I’ll stick to Audacity for now, with all it’s limitations. Speaking of Audacity, there hasn’t been a new version for quite some time now…
