It provides an entirely new viewing experience much better suited to giving (or reading) PDFs as presentations (e.g. effects and transitions between slides, spot-lighting and highlighting tools, and a really cool slide overview screen that can be very useful in an actual presentation situation). Moreover using "Impressive" with the command line can give you a lot more control over how your PDF is displayed. @ Hitendra: this program does more than simply present pages full screen.
