On Vista Home Basic, I received access denied, even in hidden administrator mode, when using the internal partition manager. So have a lot of other people. I am going to try Easeus ASAP. If not, I will look at the linked program. Thanks.

Who can get me a free partition manager? Few days ago, I came up with partition problems. I would like to enlarge my system disk C. I didn’t know what to do. What I want was just a free and reliable partition software. Fortunately, my friends recommended me free partition manager software. It was really easy to use and I got everything through in less than 10 minutes. So I would like to share this partition manager with all of you. The name of this partition manager is called Partition Wizard. It provides different editions. Not, true. I have vista and it has a problem with shrinking and resizing partitions because of some inaccessible files. The only way I could fix this was with Partition Magic which made the resizing before booting.

I’m glad to find out about Easeus Partition, i’ll test it asap to see if it has this capability.

I can’t figure out how to make Easeus Partition Home PORTABLE. It seems doable but so far all the menu buttons are disabled. Any ideas??? Otherwise I like it so far.

Easus’ claim this is a free replacement for Partition Manager is less than truthful, unfortunately. It does not merge partitions. Other than that, it’s a great freeware GUI partition utility.
