What’s the point of this? If I wanted to still run Windows 3.1, I’d run Windows 3.1!

I have miniMIZE, but I never use it. Yhe advantage of the Taskbar is that you don’t have to return to the Desktop to trigger your link!. The concept is IMO the perfect example of a gadget : code exercise, fun once, forgotten after.

Thumbwin is my app of choice for tiling – it’s the only one that handles Y’z shadows properly. Stardock WindowFX’s tile function and Minimise forget to wipe them. WindowFX even mishandles its own shadows. Microsoft Scalable Fabric has the sort of functionality I would like, but again it’s buggier than a freeware app written by somebody with no English. Go figure.

On the subject of Reliability, I found that miniMIZE doesn’t work with CMD shells. (ie: it doesn’t work with a command line window)
