Although not exactly the same, the program I use is Filebox Extender http://www.hyperionics.com/files/index.asp

It has more options, but I have a favoritebutton so that I can quickly browse to a preferred folder in any open/save dialog and Windows Explorer.

I can’t live without Flash Folder http://www.freewaregenius.com/2007/07/07/flashfolder/ but it’s not stable with MS Office – exactly cause of non-system dialogs.

Since I rarely use Office at work and almost never at home – perfect for me.
