Hi Samer

Nice review and certainly a very nice rendering application. I urge you to check out indigo.
It's also a free rendering application, and one of the forum members have created a fantastic exporter for sketchup. He's an amazing programmer and have created a few plugins which take sketchup many steps further.

Indigo is an unbiased render, so it takes a bit longer than unbiased renderers. Or about the same time as Kerkytheas MLT preset. The output quality is probably the best I've seen and comparable with Maxwell renders. The difference for sketchup users is mostly the exporter, that whaat (the programmer) has created for the sketchup/indigo combo: Skindigo!

check it out at www.indigorenderer.com/joomla

kind regards
and thank you for a truly great blog!

Sometimes I worry that the line between 'Reality' and 'Virtual Reality' is disappearing....

...and with Freeware! ;-)

The kids these days (world-wide), growing up with tools like these freely available, will be doing some amazing things! We 'old farts' have to 're-learn' how we think of rendering virtual reality - no more doing it by hand (pen-and-ink), using a Cray Mega-Computer, or even a Dedicated Workstation, now it's Freeware on 'Ordinary' Home PC's - Kids will be growing up with these tools, using them 'Naturally'.

I only hope they never lose 'Non-Electronic' Art - Each has it's place!
