I’ve never found Synergy’s clipboard funtion to be reliable. It stops working frequently and requires a closing and restarting Synergy on at least one machine in order to get it to work again.

I use synergy on a daily basis on multiple setups as I move about my day. It truly is a fantastic program. This one sounds like it might even be a little better if your just using 2 windows machines. I may give it a try if I come upon a new setup (I tend to stick to the if it ain’t broke don’t fix it life style)

Hey Samer,

You might want to check out Synergy2 (http://synergy2.sourceforge.net) as a compare-and-contrast. It doesn’t do the copy/paste files and folders or have some of the features listed in Input Director, but it’s rock-solid on reliability. The nice thing about synergy is that it’s platform-independent. You can share the keyboard, mouse, and clipboard on a Windows machine with that of a Linux or Mac, and you can add as many machines to the config as you like.

This is exactly what I was looking for! I am testing Vista on a separate workstation and monitor. I can go back and forth now between the 2 computer seamlessly. Don’t need a 2nd keyboard and mouse now!

I need something like this for my two computers… 2 sets of keyboard mouse takes up a lot of desk space! great find Samer!
