Get double-right-click functionality with Clickzap

Submitted by Samer on December 12, 2007 – 5:01 pm4 Comments

Clickzap configuration dialog screenshotClickzap offers the ability to execute one of a handful of useful tasks whenever you double click your right mouse button.

The number of possible tasks performed isn’t that big, and of course you can only choose one of them, but if you need to execute any one of these quickly and easily, Clickzap delivers.

There are 8 supported tasks in total: lock computer, log-off, shutdown, minimize active window, minimize all windows, close active window, close all windows, and mute sound. The last two are my favorites (although I might note that the ’close all windows’ function causes any programs that you may be running that have invisible windows to become visible and minimized on the desktop).

Clickzap’s memory use is just under 3 megs, which of course isn’t a lot but in my opinion could have probably been less for an application like this. The real question is whether this program could be useful for you; try it and find out.

Compatibility: Windows 2000, XP; no info on Vista.

Download here (approx. 422K), or go to the developer’s page to get the latest version.

Mhhh, am I missing something? I can run the configurator but nothing happens when I double rightclick (win XP).

Chris.. that should be it. Run configurator and select the action you want from the dropdown. It should happen reliably on double-right-clicking.

Has anyone tried using this on a computer that has strokeit installed and uses that for a gestures button?

This program is broken! I configured it to lock my computer when I double right-click, but when I double right click, nothing happens. Tried on my desktop and a billion other windows, but nothing. But, it gets better. I was playing Team Fortress 2 and was playing as a medic. I had an uber charge ready, and it is activated by right-clicking, so I right click about 30 times just to make sure I uber, but, lo and behold, my computer locks up. F*CK!!! Had to enter my password, but by that time my team had pretty much lost. And that’s why this program is broke as hell. Just giving my 2 cents.
