Imgburn

Imgburn ScreenShot

Imgburn is a program that will burn any image file into CD’s or DVD’s. It will burn ripped DVD images generated by DVD Decrypter or DVD Shrink. It will also burn to DVD or build an image from ripped VOB files on the hard drive.

Version tested:  2.1.0.0

Freewaregenius 5-Star PickMoreover Imgburn can burn 8 gigabyte double-layer DVDs. For these, it can either use the layer break in the IFO file (which can be user-specified) or it can calculate the best break location on its own.

This image burning functionality is provided by a number of commercial CD/DVD burning software, such as Nero. I like to use Imgburn because (a) it is a small program that works really well, (b) it works with most CD/DVD writers, and (c) unlike those other burning programs, it is 100% free.

This is a very easy to use software, thanks man, it helped me burn the ISO image of DSL linux distribution onto a CD in something like 50 seconds and also verified the burn process. This program is a no brainer.

    Thanks

Looks like a rip off of DVD Decryptor, looks almost EXACTLY like DVD Decryptor. Havn’t used the program, might give it a shot.

@James: It looks like DVD Decryptor because it’s made by the same person!

I don’t know how anyone can say IMGBurn is easy to use. I challenge everyone to ask someone who has never used it before, and these can even be people familiar with computers, ask them to copy a disc with it. Simple, right? Then ask them to burn some MP3s into an Audio CD. Simple again, right? You would think so.

For the first one, get a watch out and see how long they look around for the expected “copy disc” button that doesn’t exist.

Other than, you know, actually using it without reading the manual to do more than burn image files, it’s a good program.
